• John Eastman wants his ballot designation for California Attorney General to read “Assistant Attorney General” based on his work with the South Dakota Attorney General’s office on a U.S. Supreme Court brief. (via Legal Pad).
• The ABA  reports: “A Maryland judge who declared a break in an alleged batterer’s misdemeanor domestic violence trial so he could marry the defendant to the claimed victim and prevent her from testifying against him has been taken off the bench.”
• The San Francisco Chronicle reports that law firms make rich targets for cyber scams.  One blogger is collecting sample scam e-mails targeting lawyers here.
• The NY Time reports that Santa Clara prosecutors are systematically using peremptory challenges to try and keep Judge Andrea Bryan from hearing any criminal cases in San Jose.  Judge Bryan had freed a child molestor and accused the prosecutor handling the case of misconduct.
